Touchstone Electronics Ltd is a leading provider of integrated electronic security systems who provide 'state of the art' security solutions for a wide range of environments.

Client Requirement

Prior to our involvement, Touchstone Electronics Ltd had prepared the basis of a documented management system.  This was based on the requirements of ISO 9001:1994 and had not been completed or fully implemented.  We were engaged to help bring the existing elements of their system up to date and reflect current working practice and to comply with the requirements of the new version of the standard, ISO 9001:2000.

What has been achieved

Working alongside the acting Quality Manager at the time, we helped Touchstone Electronics Ltd to achieve their goal of developing a quality management system that adds value to their business and achieving third party certification of their system.  As a result of the continued success of Touchstone Electronics Ltd the organisational structure of the company was changed and the Managing Director took over responsibility for quality.  This required additional support from the The Quality Team and we are now providing our 'Virtual Quality Manager' service to this organisation with great success.  This includes facilitating effective management reviews, developing systems to meet the changing needs of this rapidly growing business and planning, implementing their internal management systems, audit programme and liaison with the third party certification body.
